The web is buzzing today with news of the release of the first photos of some cast-members including Sam Clemmett as Albus Severus Potter and Poppy Miller as Ginny Potter.
The BBC News website showed photos marking the first time Jamie Parker has been seen as Harry Potter, sporting the famous lightning-shaped scar on his forehead.
When asked about Parker’s transformation, the same BBC site reports author JK Rowling saying: “He simply is Harry now. There’s a kind of relief in watching him, he gets it so right.”
The news was announced on the official Harry Potter & The Cursed Child website, with a link to the Pottermore website featuring pictures of Harry, Ginny and Albus Severus Potter and words straight from the author’s mouth.
The cast includes Jamie Parker as Harry, Sam Clemmett as Albus and Poppy Miller as Ginny. First Preview is 7th June and more images are poised for release on the Pottermore website in the coming days.
