2019 is just around the corner, and while many shows may be saying goodbye to the twinkling lights on London’s glitzy West End, there’s no shortage of fantastic new shows to take their place. Plays

All About Eve

First up is psychological thriller ‘All About Eve’. Directed by Ivo van  Hove and starring acting powerhouses Lily James (Mamma Mia! Here We Go AgainDisney’s Cinderella) and Gillian Anderson (The X-Files, Hannibal), this ‘razor-sharp’ adaptation lifts the curtain on a world of jealousy and ambition. Betrayal

The final play in the critically-acclaimed Pinter at the Pinter season, Betrayal, will be directed by Jamie Lloyd and star Golden Globe and Olivier award-winner Tom Hiddleston (The Night ManagerThor). Described as “the greatest, and the most moving, of all Pinter’s plays”, this adaptation will start a strictly limited 12-week engagement from March 5th. Book from just £18.

The National Theatre had phenomenal success this year, and this is just one of the multiple productions that got a West End transfer. Beginning on January 26th, Laura Wade’s ‘piercingly funny’ (Time Out) new play stars Katherine Parkinson (The IT CrowdHumans) asks how happily married are the happily married? The Twilight Zone

The Lehman Trilogy

While The Lehman Trilogy, another of the sold-out National Theatre productions that got a West End transfer, doesn’t open until May 2019, we’re sure it will be well worth the wait! Directed by James Bond frontman Sam Mendes (Skyfall), Stefano Massini’s vast and poetic play stars Simon Russell Beale, Adam Godley and Ben Miles playing the Lehman Brothers, their sons and their grandsons.
