Transport yourself away from COVID Britain to 1950s Hollywood with a trip to a drive-in cinema this summer. As the majority of theatres and cinemas currently remain closed, drive-in cinema is undoubtedly the future of isolation entertainment – and it’s guaranteed to be a movie night like no other.
New venture The Drive In launched on 4th July in north London, allowing you to experience film, theatre and live performances all from the comfort – and safety – of your vehicle.
How does it work?
Pitch up in your car at the Troubadour Meridian Water, pipe the sound via your radio, and enjoy a great view of the screen no matter where you park. Better yet, the screenings will adhere to social distancing restrictions, with cars parked two metres apart and tickets scanned through closed windows. Once you’ve ordered your drinks and snacks through The Drive In’s mobile app, all that’s left to do is recline your car seat and enjoy the show!
What’s on at The Drive In?
From the latest blockbusters to cult classics, stand-up comedy to live music, there is something for everyone at this summer’s must-visit attraction. We’ve categorised the shows by genre to help you decide.
