Kimberley Walsh joins the cast of BIG The Musical

Wendi Peter, Kimberley Walsh and Matthew Kelly will join Jay McGuiness in BIG The Musical for a strictly limited 9-week season from 6 September to 2 November 2019.

Peters, Walsh and Kelly with star as Mrs Baskin, Susan Lawrence and George MacMillan respectively. They join the previously announced Jay McGuiness as Josh Baskin.  Based on the smash-hit movie starring Tom Hanks, BIG The Musical will make its West End premiere at the Dominion Theatre.

Wendi Peters is best known for her role as Cilla Battersby Brown in Coronation Street – a role that she played for over four years, returning briefly in 2014. 

Kimberley Walsh rose to prominence in the record-breaking girl band Girls Aloud. During their 10 years together, the group achieved twenty consecutive top ten singles in the UK, including four number ones, with over 4.3 million single sales and 4 million albums sold in the UK alone.  In 2012, Kimberley was runner up in Strictly Come Dancing.

Matthew Kelly’s many television credits include the award-winning thriller Cold Blood, BenidormBleak House and Moving On, although he is probably best known for presenting You Bet! and Stars in their Eyes. His West End appearances include the original Stanley in Funny PeculiarWaiting For Godot, Tim Firth’s play Sign of the Times, the musical Lend Me A Tenor! and as Lennie in the Birmingham Repertory Theatre’s production of Of Mice and Men, for which he won the Olivier Award for Best Actor.

Maria Friedman and Anita Dobson to star in Fiddler On The Roof

Maria Friedman andAnita Dobson will join the company ofTrevor Nunn’s critically acclaimed production of Fiddler on the Roof, which is currently running at the reconfigured Playhouse Theatre until 28 September. Friedman plays Golde, and Dobson plays Yente from 18th June 2019, taking over from Judy Kuhn and Louise Gold respectively. They join Andy Nyman (Tevye), Nicola Brown (Chava), Harriet Bunton (Hodel), Dermot Canavan (Lazar Wolf), Stewart Clarke (Perchik), Joshua Gannon (Motel), Matthew Hawksley (Fyedka), and Molly Osborne (Tzeitel). Alistair Brammer to join the London cast of WICKED

WICKED, the West End and Broadway musical sensation that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, has today announced that Alistair Brammer, star of Miss Saigon, will be playing Fiyero from Monday 22 July 2019.

Alistair Brammer (Fiyero) made his Broadway debut in 2017 as ‘Chris’ in Cameron Mackintosh’s revival of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s Miss Saigon. He made his professional West End debut as ‘Marius’ in Boublil and Schönberg’s Les Misérables in 2009. His other West End roles include Billy Narracott’ inWar Horse and ‘Chris’ in the award-winning London revival of Miss Saigon (for which he was nominated ‘Best Actor in a Musical’ at the 2015 WhatsOnStage Awards). In October 2010, Alistair played ‘Jean Prouvaire’ in the 25thAnniversary Concert of Les Misérables at The O2 and, in September 2014, he played ‘Chris’ in the 25thAnniversary Gala performance of Miss Saigon at London’s Prince Edward Theatre.

Bianca Del Rio joins the cast of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, the award-winning feel good musical sensation, has today announced that Roy Haylock, best known as his drag alter ego, Bianca Del Rio, will making his West End debut playing the role of Loco Chanelle/Hugo from Saturday 6 May until Saturday 29 June 2019.

Haylock joins recently announced Faye Tozer and Layton Williams who has been leading the cast as Jamie New. You can book tickets to see the smash-hit sensation now from £24.

Bianca Del Rio was the season six winner of the hit TV series RuPaul’s Drag Race. A self-proclaimed “clown in a gown,” he received the Best New Television Personality Award from NewNowNext in 2014 and made Variety magazine’s list of Top 10 Comics To Watch for 2015. The New York Times called Haylock the “Joan Rivers of the Drag World”, and Joan Rivers herself referred to him as “So funny! So sharp!

As Bianca, Roy made guest appearances on MTV’s Mardi Gras with Britney Spears and Carson Daly and In Bed With Joan starring Joan Rivers, as well as starring in the LogoTV Christmas special Not Today Bianca. On stage, Haylock has had theatrical starring roles that include Miss Mazeppa in Gypsythe Emcee in Cabaret, and Angel in Rent.

Kate Moss joins the voice cast of Beasts of London

The Museum of London revealed the final celebrity name that will join the cast of its upcoming experience, Beasts of London, opening on 5 April 2019. In this family-friendly show, you will be able to come face to face with the animals that helped shape the city we know today. Kate Moss will be voicing one of these animals alongside Brian Blessed, Pam Ferris, Nish Kumar, Stephen Mangan, Angellica Belland Joe Pasquale, who were announced earlier this year.

Beasts of London will immerse visitors into an animal kingdom where you will be taken on a journey through time, from before the city of London was created through to the present day. Inspired by objects in the museum’s collection, the experience will use video projection mapping to highlight the history of animals in the capital.

Jason Donovan to star in Joseph this Summer

After starring as Joseph in the iconic 1991 original production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic, Jason will return to the show as the Pharaoh. Tickets are on sale from £24 – book now.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will play a strictly limited 11-week season from Thursday 27 June until Sunday 8 September.

Jason joins Sheridan Smith, with the double Olivier Award winning actress recently announced as The Narrator. Casting for the role of Joseph is to be announced soon.

Jason made his defining stage performance as the title character of Joseph in the 1990s, also at the London Palladium, in a sold-out 18-month run which produced a No.1 single and best-selling soundtrack album. It remains one of the most successful revivals of all time. Jason now returns to the show as Pharaoh, who rocks ‘Song of the King’ in the iconic musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, soon to be re-imagined in this brand new production.

You never know the measure of a moment until it becomes a memory, and what a moment that was for me. Joseph was a ground breaker in 1991, and what a blast it will be to be back on the prestigious Palladium stage and be part of it all again with a brand new cast in this re-imagined 2019 production. I’m looking forward to breathing new life into Pharaoh and I’m so relieved he doesn’t wear a loin cloth!
